The Meaning of Favours or " bomboniere" As they are sometimes referred to have now become an international tradition. The wedding favours, often five sugared almonds, representing Health, Wealth, Happiness, Fertility and Long Life are often wrapped in ornamental materials and presented to all the female guests at the Wedding, those guests who could not attend would also be sent a favour from the Bride. Favours can be personalised by placing the guests name and the date of the wedding on a small decorated card to be placed either inside the favour box or attached to the favour box. This favour will be kept by the guest as a lasting memory of the Wedding Day. |

There are traditionally five almonds inside the favour. Each favour contains five superior quality whole sugared almonds. Five being a number that cannot be divided; just like the Bride and Groom |
